Flagship of the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, this 28-hectare property has just been bought by the Daohe wines & spirits company in Guangzhou.
ne nouvelle propriété viticole bordelaise just passed under Chinese banner. The Château de Courteillac, beautiful property of 28 hectares located in Ruch, in the Gironde, in the Entre-deux-mers and flagship of the Bordeaux appellation, has just been bought by the Chinese company Daohe Wines & Spirits, of Guanghzou, near Canton, who imports and distributes wine throughout China.
Dahoe is specialized in wine distribution, it wishes to develop internationally and make several acquisitions in the French vineyard but also in Italy and Spain.
The technical director remains Stéphane Dubes, the owner of Château La Rose Monturon (Saint-Emilion), also brother-in-law of Stephan Asseo, to whom Dominique Méneret bought the Courteillac estate in 1998 (and with whom he partnered for the Adventure Winery in Paso Robles, California). And the property will always be followed by Frédéric Massié (Derenoncourt Consultants) and distributed in France by Domaines Meneret-Audy (the export represents 60% of the marketing of the domain, to the United States, the Benelux…).
