Sale of ADVANCE PARIS to the ISTORLES group

Paris, December 1, 2021 – ISTORLES Group acquires the manufacturer of Hifi premium ADVANCE PARIS

The Shareholders of Advance Paris (better known to audiophiles under its historic brand Advance Acoustic) had mandated the team of the Banque d’Affaires TwinL to ensure the transmission of their company, in strong growth, consecration of their beautiful professional career: mission successful since the Istorles Group (€11m turnover), founded and managed by Dimitri Peucelle, was chosen among the various potential buyers, for the quality of its offer and project for Advance.

It was in 1995 in Toulouse, that Advance Acoustic (now Advance Paris) was created with a single objective: to offer HIFI systems with exceptional musicality and reasonable prices. From the beginning, the French brand received numerous awards for its speakers and the newspaper Hi-Fi Magazine even awarded it in 1997 the title of «best value for money» to the young French company.

From 2002 onwards, Advance Acoustic successfully expanded its range on the electronic part (amp, preamps, etc.) and again received numerous awards from trade journals. In 2021, Advance is an undisputed reference of the French Hi-Fi with more than 4 M€ of turnover, in strong growth, and markets its products worldwide since the export represents almost half of its turnover. Charles Jacquard, who was managing with his colleague Jean Bechard, comments: «The years pass and there comes a day when we want to turn the page, the day had come. Of course, this is not without a pinch in the heart of the strong growth we are experiencing, but we are happy to pass the helm to Dimitri, who we wish to continue this great entrepreneurial adventure!”

The TwinL team was tasked by the managers to ensure the overall management of the sale process: for this mission on a «niche» sector, TwinL directly approached the main players in the Hifi market both in France and in Europe, in the US and Asia to finally choose, with its customers, to carry out the discussions and the negotiation of the agreements with the ISTORLES Group.

This is the 5th operation completed by the TwinL team in 2021, after the divestitures of Oceanis Informatique (IT), Foresta (Industrie du Bois), Groupe Altona (Négoce International) and ESN ATHEO INGENIERIE.
