Tridem Pharma is a French company mainly developing its activity of pharmaceutical distributor in francophone Africa where it holds the 3rd place of the market.
Based in Escalquens, near Toulouse, TRIDEM PHARMA will be bought at the end of the year by Fosun Pharma, the pharmaceutical branch of the Chinese conglomerate, also owner of the Club Méditerranée, for a value of 63 million euros. Fosun Pharma will hold 82% of the capital of Tridem Pharma alongside the founder Gérard Baylé who retains 18%.
The TRIDEM PHARMA group achieved €90m in turnover in 2016 by distributing the drugs of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Africa but also by producing under license drugs that are no longer a priority for these laboratories. For Fosun Pharma, this acquisition opens a gateway to Africa after the acquisition of the Indian laboratory Gland Pharma in September for $1.1Mds.
