The total sale of Cuisines Villéger and Comptoir de la Cuisine, representing a turnover of €5.6M, to a Chinese manufacturer, Mr XU GUOZI, is emblematic of the desire of Chinese companies to establish themselves as close as possible to their potential markets and to acquire knowledge in the high-end and products with higher added value. Previously limited to companies in receivership or in a few niches (vineyards, fashion), Chinese companies are starting to approach Europe via targeted acquisitions.
