Heliaq Strengthens Its Cloud and Cybersecurity Offering with the Acquisition of Synten
Saint-Cloud, July 9, 2026
Heliaq, an independent French IT services provider with a nationwide presence, has announced the acquisition of Synten, a private cloud and managed IT outsourcing operator serving mid-market companies, large enterprises, and public-sector organizations, based in Saint-Cloud. Founded in 2000 by Christophe Avedissian, Synten operates from three interconnected data centers in the Paris region (Île-de-France), holding both ISO 27001 and HDS (French health-data hosting) certifications. Its teams support large-enterprise clients across banking and insurance, healthcare, industry, and retail, with a loyal customer portfolio representing more than €5 million in committed contract value across its top 20 clients. The deal was decided through a highly competitive process: more than eight firm offers were submitted by both strategic and financial buyers, confirming the scarcity of the asset in a fast-growing French private cloud market. Ultimately, it was the Heliaq Group that won over Synten's shareholders. The combination strengthens Heliaq's capabilities in cloud, managed services, cybersecurity, and infrastructure, while giving Synten the backing of a solid, independent group to continue its investments and secure long-term support for its clients. Heliaq today has more than 700 employees, including 500 experts, 29 offices—three of them in the Paris region—nine data centers operated in France, over 30 technology partnerships with the world's leading IT companies, and revenue of €400 million.
Christophe Avedissian, President of Synten, commented: "Since its founding, Synten has served its clients with high standards, close partnership, and commitment. This combination marks an important step in our journey: joining a solid, independent, growing group so we can continue investing and secure long-term support for our clients."
Eric Julien, CEO of the Heliaq Group, added: "With the acquisition of Synten, we are strengthening our presence in Paris with a cloud and managed services provider that is HDS-certified and whose DNA is very close to Heliaq's."
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. TwinL advised Synten's shareholders as exclusive M&A advisor throughout the entire process, from structuring the transaction to selecting the buyer and managing negotiations through to closing.
