Desseilles Laces makes beautiful lace for chic lingerie brands like La Perla. In financial difficulties for several years, the company, in liquidation, had seen its situation worsen under the weight of a social conflict that had driven away a first Chinese candidate.
The new buyer, Hangzhou Yongshen Holding, says it wants to rely on French know-how to diversify into ready-to-wear and luxury decoration.
the Chinese offer had the support of the public authorities but also of the employees, very hostile to the other most serious offer, of the Nordish family group Holesco, based in Caudry (North) and owner of the house Sophie Hallette (turnover: 29 M€ – 85% export).
The ambition of the buyers is to turn the company around by investing and then developing it in ready-to-wear with synergies in China.
